Anaïs Wroblewski – Youth Team
Anaïs began running school races in grade three. At first, she barely made it past divisionals, however, in grade five she joined a running club and after less than a year of training, she made it to cities in both track and field and cross country. In grade six, she ran the 400m for the first time, and did not enjoy it; it was the most painful race in her life up to that point. However, something made her keep trying it, and now, the 400m dash is the love of her running life. She also races the 800m and 200m, as well as longer distances during the cross-country season. She has qualified for OFSAA three times for cross-country, and placed top ten in the city for track. She likes to spend her free time outdoors, whether it’s playing other sports for fun in city parks, or camping and hiking in the wilderness.

Mikala Ryan – Youth Team
Mikala first started running in Grade 3 with her elementary school cross-country team. At first, it was a hobby and her dominant sport was soccer. She decided to join a club when she realized how much she enjoyed running and how great the community was. She has been coached by Ian since grade 6. As she continued to join her cross-country and track and field teams at school and compete for Bisons, she began to find more of a passion for running. It then became her primary sport and focus. Since then, she has run huge PBs in a variety of distances and brought home hardware. Some special moments in her running career involve doing well at meets, because it reflects how her hard work has paid off. Although, more importantly, her favourite part of the day is going to practice and the memories she has made there. She has qualified for OFSAA 4 times so far, and competed at other high level meets such as Nationals. As a coach, she hopes to not only pass on valuable knowledge and skills, but also inspire young athletes.
